New Flowering Plants for Gardeners to Try
Many gardening enthusiasts, even while growing the same plants year after year, still have a desire to try new varieties. A useful resource for such people is the annual plant evaluation program conducted by the non-profit organization AAS (All-America Selections). Under this program, more than 80 horticultural experts in the United States and Canada conduct trial plantings and award prizes to outstanding varieties.
Here we introduce some of the award-winning new flower varieties. All of them are highly regarded not only for their beauty but also for their ease of cultivation and durability.
Celosia Flamma Pink is an upright-growing flower that received high marks from the judges for its consistent blooming even in hot, humid climates. It is also known for its long vase life as a cut flower. Vinca Sphere Polka Dot features beautiful, rounded blooms and continues to flower throughout the summer. Marigold Mango Tango is a variety that blooms with both yellow and red flowers, allowing you to enjoy its colors for an extended period. Petunia Decco Max Pink grows quickly, is easy to care for, and is resistant to rain. Snapdragon Double Shot Yellow Red Heart has a sweet, candy-like fragrance and is gaining attention as a variety that blooms early and is hardy.
All of these varieties are proven plants selected after undergoing trial cultivation by experts. This list can serve as a useful reference for gardeners looking to add new color to their gardens.
