サイトを作ったきっかけ
日本語を教える中で、生徒さんからたくさんの「素朴な疑問」をもらいます。
「『好き』って動詞じゃないの？」
「『どういたしまして』の『どう』って何？」
日本人でもわかんない…
そんな疑問に答えながら、ふと思いました。
この質問は、日本語の背景がないからこその疑問だ。ほかの生徒さんも同じ疑問を持っているんじゃないか？
一度きりの授業で消えてしまうのではなく、講師にも・学習者にも役立つ形で残しておきたい。
そのために、このサイトを立ち上げました。
また、日本語の文法を掘り下げていくと、日本の文化・歴史・思想が反映されていることがあります。
それがとても面白くて、もっと多くの人に伝えたいと思っています。
Why I started this site
While teaching Japanese, I receive many simple but genuine questions from my students.
“Isn’t ‘suki(like)’ a verb?”
“What does ‘dou’ mean in ‘Douitashimashite’?
I can’t answer even though I am a native Japanese… As I answered these questions, I realized —
This question arises because they don’t have a background in Japanese. Don’t the other students have the same question?
Rather than letting those moments disappear after a single lesson,I wanted to keep them in a place that could help both learners and teachers.
That’s why I created this site.
Also, when I dig deeper into Japanese grammar, I often find that it reflects Japanese culture, history, and ways of thinking —I find that truly fascinating, and I want to share that with as many people as possible.
